September Open Letter

To whom it may represent,

I write this letter in memory of the many lives we let go to simply make it. The anger, resentment, sadness, regret, and unresolved feelings that never had a chance to be truly understood. We walk through our lives with so much weight, never getting the chance to exhale because of the fear of not being enough. Whether it be for bills, family, or relationships, we find ourselves trying to live up to ideas that never gave back. Have you ever felt pushed to walls that are not created by you?

I have found myself seeing the truth of others, and wanting to confront them. I recognize that I can’t live by the hope that others will care for me in ways that I internally need. I have found myself creating the value of space to understand that you cannot push others tornados. What tornado do you surround yourself with? I have learned that a peaceful life is worth fighting for, and the fight is learning the flow of your mind and heart. Believe it or not, they both want the same thing… they want you to exist on purpose. What does purpose mean to you? If you feel lost in that question… ask yourself, “What do I want to be known for?” It will begin directing you in ways that only you can live by.

This letter is a sign for you to finish what you started. Before you do things, look within yourself and see the stories and patterns that don’t let you finish. Look at the relationships that need to be finished. Look at the enabling you do that stops you from finishing. It’s time to finish things as this Fall and Winter come.

Be Kind to yourself so that Love can work in you,

– Dr. Will
