My work as a therapist is based on the shared curiosity of what happens deep inside of us, and on an exploration of what happens across our interactions with others. Many of us feel distress in life. We do not always know where our feelings come from, and we do not always know why we respond to life the way we do. I am prepared to welcome your whole life into a shared space with care and regard. A great deal happens in the work of therapy. I propose that we can explore who you are and what troubles you in the space between us. If you experience distress, I hope to support both of us in learning how your experience of others, of yourself, and of the past might converge onto who you are now. And maybe we can grow towards seeing and feeling who you are in ways that are less distressing.
I work with individuals, couples, and sometimes children. I have a unique interest in people who experience chronic pain conditions, substance use disorders, and complicated moods. I also have experience overseeing multidisciplinary approaches with people who may have been told that they have multiple diagnoses. Sometimes complex assessment and interviewing may help get you started on the journey towards feeling better, and that is also a service I can provide.
