Alexándria Olosunde is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a dual degree in both Professional Counseling & Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Akron. She is also a Miami University (OH) alumnus. Her experiences include individual counseling, grief counseling, community-based counseling, and family counseling. Most recently, Alexándria studied with a well-renowned couple’s therapist and creator of the Pragmatic-Experiential Method, Brent Atkinson. Through that experience, Alexándria has further honed her relationship skills and now considers herself a relationship specialist with the ability to work with individuals, couples, and families. However, do not let her specialty deceive you. Alexándria is well versed in supporting a wide range of individuals, varying in demographics and diagnoses.

“While I consider myself a relationship expert by education, I am not naïve enough to believe I am the expert on you or your relationship. I emphasize a collaborative approach to therapy as I share my knowledge with you, and you share your world with me. I’ll help you learn better ways to communicate your feelings and opinions without unnecessarily arousing the defenses of others, heal from past emotional injuries, develop better individual relationship habits, and learn more about yourself in the process. I will show you how to communicate in a way that enables you to require that you be treated with respect while making it very easy for others to do so. You will learn to stand up for yourself without putting other people down.

If you are interested in couple’s therapy and your partner will not come to therapy with you, it’s OK! While it is true that it takes two to make a relationship work, it takes just one to start the process of change. You can motivate your partner to change – even if your partner is not trying! If you are ready to put the work in, I am prepared to guide you down the path toward individual skill development to create long-term relationship satisfaction.”
